Guest Speaker: Dr. Meredith Sides
Dr. Meredith Sides is President of the National Organization for Student Success and is President Emeritus of the Alabama Student Success Organization. She currently teaches English at Calhoun Community College and is the former Chair of the Division of Humanities & Fine Arts at Northwest-Shoals Community College. Under Meredith’s leadership, her former college became the first college in Alabama to pilot and permanently implement an English co-requisite model. She chaired the English committee for the Alabama Community College System that wrote new guidelines that set up integrated reading and writing and co-requisite English courses in all the community colleges in Alabama. |
